2020 Holiday Virtual Toy Hack

Jay Lin

Thank you to all who attended our live toy hackathon in collaboration with GIX and HuskyADAPT last year, as well as our Spring 2020 virtual hack!

This season, all volunteers will be asked to do the adaptation process at their own location, similar to the spring hack. We have some solder kits we may be able to lend out, but on the whole, we are asking volunteers to have access to their own materials and equipment. This event is flexible, and will be both synchronous (via Zoom) and asynchronous (independent hacking at your own pace).

We know this is a big ASK, and we are very thankful for everyone who is able to commit the time and resources to do this.

Who:

  • Volunteers: Interested in adapting toys? Please complete this form to register for this event.
  • Toy Recipients: Would you like to request a switch-adapted toy? Please fill out this form to indicate your interest!

When: The synchronous workshops will take place on Dec 5 and 12 between 8:30am-1pm Pacific Standard Time..

If you have questions or would like accommodations to complete the surveys please contact uwtcat@uw.edu

Thank you for your interest in the library! Please let us know if you have any questions through emailing uwtcat@uw.edu.
